AMJR: Australian Modern Jive Registry

Disclaimer

The AMJR database is a community-driven resource, managed on a best-effort basis. To ensure it remains the most accurate reflection of our competitive Modern Jive scene, please keep the following points in mind:

📊 Data Sources

While the majority of our data is compiled from publicly accessible competition results, we also incorporate non-public data provided directly to us by event directors, to ensure that our records are as complete and up to date as possible.

🔎 Database Scope

The registry currently only includes names of competitors who have achieved a placing in the DWAS or Freestyle categories at a recognised competition. If you have competed but not yet placed at a recognised event, your name will not yet appear in the database.

❌ Data Inaccuracies

While we strive for absolute accuracy in matching names and results, we acknowledge the limitations of manually entering data, and publicly sourced information. If competitors identify any errors or discrepancies within the AMJR Database, we would greatly appreciate being notified.

👀 Professional Oversight

To preserve the integrity of the AMJR while remaining flexible enough to incorporate events with varying rules and progression criteria, the AMJR reserves the right to manually adjust competitor levels as required. These decisions are made in consultation with a panel of event directors and take into account factors such as teaching status, significant experience, and formal petitions.

🪴 Continuous Improvement

As our Modern Jive scene evolves, so will the AMJR. Point requirements and progression criteria are reviewed periodically to ensure they meet the needs of our dancers—we encourage all competitors to regularly check the AMJR for the most up-to-date rules and progression criteria. Please note that while criteria may change, such updates will not retroactively move a competitor out of a level they have already qualified for under previous versions of the AMJR rules.
